Education is aims at preparing learner for future life. Towards this it includes certain course in the curriculum that are far way from students immediate world. Hence students find it difficult to appreciate the value of such course and still hard to relate it. One such course in Management. Many of you as students might felt same and later in u r career have found its value and applications. I have just completed the planning function of management in my current class. In this regard, to help my student realize the fact that sometime in future there comes a chance to apply these principles. I want u to share u r experience by answering the following questions.
1. When was the first time in u r career u were exposed to terms like planning?
2. At time did u able to recall proceedings of u r management class?
3. Are there any examples from u r professional life, where u r entrusted to carry out a management function ( planning, forecasting etc)

Since 5 years I am struggling in my career, management with planning really work but very difficult. Activities like administration , perusing Ph.D and above all managing personal life. One thing is very sure, simply planning will not work, and SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, result-oriented and Time-bound) objectives with appropriate action will diffidently work.
ReplyDeleteI suggest students should adopt principles like hard and soft deadlines and the Martini Method for success.
